Adam O'Keefe, the driving force behind Barwon Landscapes + Waterscapes, boasts extensive experience and expertise in landscaping and water gardens. With a foundation in Advanced Certificate in Horticulture (Cert V) from the Gordan in Geelong, Adam further honed his skills at Holmesglen in Glen Waverly, culminating in his completion of the apprenticeship in 2001.
Adam's journey in landscaping evolved from childhood experiences, cultivating vegetables with his grandfather. Fascinated by the intricate relationships between plants, a journey that started with veggies soon blossomed into a profound connection with landscaping. With a penchant for hardscaping and a love for the entire design process, Adam's passion extends beyond projects; it lies in the crafting of outdoor spaces that age gracefully.
Adding water creates a whole new dimension to the landscape.
Adam trialled water feature products and installation methods over the years, but it wasn’t until his son got, Old Greg, an Eastern Long Neck Turtle that the call to find the right pond equipment became key.
Eastern Long Neck Turtles can live up to 50 years of age – some sources claiming up to 75 years. Adam saw their longevity as a call for something more fitting than a tank for a life-long friend.
Once he came across Aquascape, he hasn’t turned back, and has been installing those systems in his landscaping projects across Southwest Victoria, and now Tasmania, ever since.
Regionally, Barwon Landscapes & Waterscapes is the longest of Aquascape Ecosystem Ponds, Pondless Systems and Recreation Ponds.

Aquascape Inc Systems have been operating since 1991. Their product is tried and tested across the globe and provides a longevity we’re yet to find anywhere else.
